Hey @yoyogemer976
I'm sorry to hear about your issues with launching the game ☹️
Could you please post your DxDiag report so we knew a bit more about your hardware?
Thanks!

- 7 years ago@HexaTropgros Hey i fixed my problem guys! try starting origin as an adminstrator and then go to your gamefiles and open there the PVZBattleforNeighborville.exe as an adminstrator 🙂 I'm super happy that it worked i hope it does for you all too!

Hey everyone!
Thanks for sending your DxDiag reports 🙂
I would have one piece of advice after looking through various reports - could you please make sure that your GPU drivers are up-to-date? I would even recommend to try clean reinstallation of drivers and then launch the game again.

@EA_Ataashi And if those options didn't work?
- 7 years ago@EA_Ataashi Drivers are all up-to-date. Still doesn't work

Well this sucks, purchased 4 copies, One for the Wife, 2 for the kids and mine.
BOTH the kids version come up with the PopCap loading screen (in a windows) and the little flower in the corner it animates for a while and then just freezes.
If you minimize the screen window and then maximize it is just black so I suspect this is the same issues others are reporting. We updated to the very latest NVidia Drivers. (GTX 1050) but still no go. I even updated the sound driver as this is about where the audio would cut in but with no luck.
The wife's copy will not even run despite the specs saying GT 640 is good enough (just) there is no version of the driver available that is supported.
That leaves mine, my rig is running the exact same driver as the kids but on a GTX 1060 and it works. Also the kids have dual core i3 mine is a quad core i5. I could see how this could make it slower but not fail.
So im 1 for 4, not a very good success rate. It looks like all 4 will need to go back as this series has always been our family game. End of an era I guess.
Pen.

Ye! I don't see my .exe file for plants vs zombies battle for neighborville. It is just the name. Is that a problem?😕

não funciona

Someone found the solution
The problem for some reason is the windows user name
If the name is not written in English characters but a different language the game won't start
If you change the user name to English characters you will fix this problem
Here is the video link of how to do it
Thx for your time

Do you lunch Origin as an Administrator? If not try it. (Right click the Origin shortcut > Run as an Administrator.)
There are newer drivers for both, the Intel and the AMD GPU for your notebook on the Dell website available.
Install the Intel driver > reboot > install the AMD driver > reboot > test.
Your Windows user name is in ASCII letters? If not create a new Windows user account (Administrator) use only ASCII letters in the username > reboot > log on to the new account > test.
Do you lunch Origin as an Administrator? If not try it. (Right click the Origin shortcut > Run as an Administrator.)
If that don't helps preform a clean boot and test the Game in clean boot mode.

If you don't mind, I would like you to test this without setting the system to English.
So, please create a new Windows user account (Administrator) use only ASCII letters.
Reboot > log on the the new account > run Origin and the game as Administrator.
Thanks in advance!
