plants vs zombies edition of the year won't launch

On Xbox Game Pass, I can play *Plants vs. Zombies: Edition of the Year*.

When I launch the game, I get an error message saying my Origin account is invalid. The error page tells me the game isn’t activated (it’s actually installed on EA) and asks me to enter a game key, but that button is glitching and tells me I don’t have an internet connection even though I do.

It tells me to switch accounts, but I’m using the right one, or to buy the game.

I asked Xbox for help, but they couldn't do anything, and ChatGPT couldn't help me either, even after spending several hours trying different things.

I even bought the game to see if the issue was on Xbox's end, but I'm still having the same problem. If anyone has any ideas... :)
