I've done some testing. If I use a VPN connection and connect via USA everything works. But If i connect from Germany, sweden etc it dosent.
Something wrong with EU servers?

I have been playing PVZ GW on the xbox-x for ages without any issues but the other day the game wouldn't let me join any online games and suddenly I am also getting the "Error unable to join a session. Please check your network connection and try again" error message. It's weird because it searches for "really great servers" finds the server then when it tries to connect to the session it throws the error message at me.
Nothing seems to fix it and because I am on xbox-x I don't have the option to connect via VPN.
My xbox setup / settings screen confirms I am connected to the internet with good connection and all the network tests and multiplayer tests check out okay too.
The EA website is appalling at being able to log a support case (or even speak to anyone) so i was hoping anyone on this forum would have found an answer???

I am unable to do this because the EA website functionality is terrible! However, I do notice that the server status is RED for both the Xbox platforms and PS3 platforms. It's weird there is no xbox-x platform listed but i assume xbox-x uses one of the other xbox servers.
It's been like this for days now so maybe EA has a major issue they aren't sharing details on???
I’m sorry I can’t help but just wanted to let you know that we have the same problem. Based in the uk if that makes any difference. Exactly the same issues so won’t bother repeating what you articulated so well. Frustrating as hell as we love this game and have been playing it for years. We did have an internet issue which needed the hub to get restarted and since then nothing other than garden ops works and that’s not exactly stable either, linked or just coincidental I don’t know. Hoping that EA will do some real investigations even though the game is 8 years old and no longer lucrative for them.
I'm having the exact same problem with PVZ Garden Warfare.. however, where I'm getting the error message is on the Xbox 360. My son has the S Series and it works perfectly fine on that. I'm in the UK too, so if it's the EU servers, why will it work on one console and not the other? I'm trying to find his 1S because we have it installed on that one too, to see if it will work fine on there. It's bamboozled me no end!
Both GW1 and GW2 are suddenly back up and working on our XBox X. Really odd - I'm not sure what happens at the server end but I can only assume its something wrong at that end because I haven't changed anything on my xbox or the network configuration or port forwarding etc.
It just started working again all by itself.
