    The above is your correct answer.  It can take a REALLY long time for the download.  Several months ago I was dealing with a problem of not getting content from a deluxe upgrade, and one of the fixes I had to try was to delete and reinstall the game via download.  It took at least three hours.

Great to hear that your family enjoys the game. As with other online multiplayer games, GW2 has its ups and downs--most of both you mentioned I agree with.

The main thing I don't like is the time-gated content and the huge lot of time you'd have to invest in order to get stickers you'd want. The main thing I like is playing with friends and randoms, and having fun or goofy moments whenever they stick out.
