Plants vs Zombies not opening

P. S.  I presume you actually posted in the correct forum, so your game is actually the Garden Warfare game. 

Try disabling the Origin in game overlay in the Origin settings.  This allowed me to play the game for the first time after 2 months of EA support being unable to give me a solution.
