Well, they were playable pre S2. But I meant the use of them that I've seen has declined since the beginning of S2.
BPRD
Thats normal for combo.....people realize that OTK in 50% of the games than winning by generating momentum and value over the course of the game and winning in a less pronounced manner but more often is bad

I think the problem goes deeper than just this one combo. The problem is that the plants just have access to far too much healing. The zombies, from what I can see, have three cards that can heal (barring superpowers): Nibble, Medic, and Nurse Gargantuar. Of these, Nurse is a legendary, and the only one that can heal repeatedly without getting replayed.
The plants have Poppin' Poppies, 2nd-Best Taco of All Time, Venus Flytrap, Venus Flytraplanet, Power Flower, and Astro Vera. Only two are legendary, and three of the non-legendary repeat if not destroyed. Not only that, but the plants also have access to Pepper M.D. and Heartichoke which both combo quite well with all these healing cards. It also helps that all the plant cards mentioned except Poppin' Poppies are in the same class, so any Solar hero can heal quite a bit.
Furthermore, unlike combos and strategies built around a keyword (e.g. Mushroom, Science, Pet, etc.) healing in itself affects the game. Something as potent and desirable as healing already is should not be the basis for combos and deck designs as if it were merely another descriptor. I don't care how expensive or uncommon it is; to see healing used in this way was simply a bad design choice.

I don´t think its per se a bad design choice to make a deck build around ressource management a good deck. I mean just look at Medulla Nebula wich, when unanswered immediatly will kill you in like...2 or 3 turns and that just because they pump up on their ressources.
I agree that the tech for the Healing synergies are a bit to "available" because its almost all in solar but I don´t think its Toxic...About the amount of healing....well I think its quite allright that Plants have more healing on plants because zombies have pretty good options to defend their life-points. think gladiator, gravestones, the by now sheer amount of effects that make zombies immune to dmg and last but not least undead pharao and the fact that the class that can utilize all of this almost always has a "heal for 6" super power at hand....maybe its time to play things like that instead of trying to just mindlessly smash or combo the opponent?
Metagame is not only defined by a dominant deck but also by the decks that work well against it.I think its not horrible to have Zombies at the recieving end of Metagame so who cares. On top you can still play valkyre :/

So, you feel that it's not an issue because the zombie player can always fall back on legendaries that he may not even own, and hey, two of the zombie heroes have a single healing superpower!
Please forgive me if I disagree that this completely fixes the aforementioned issues.
