reduce her damage to 13 or 10, make her transparent instead of invisible except in casting shadows and when standing still, make her take double damage in shadow sneak, and reduce her health to 50. also increase her reload time and reduce her clip size. that way she will OBJECTIVELY be a fair and balanced character.if you think she is fine the way she is, then you are ABSOLUTELY one of the scum that abuse her overpowered damage and mobility.

Oh how I wish I could downvote here. Night cap as a character is only so good in the hands of the person playing her. I hate to say it, but in the case of what you're suggesting, get good.

Nightcap has been nerfed for the past few balance patches. If you aren’t being ironic or making a joke, what you’re trying to suggest is total annihilation of this character. There would be absolutely no use or incentive to play Nightcap if PopCap did what you’ve described in this post.- Almost halve her damage- Increase the time it takes to reload- Reduce her clip size- Reduce her already low health- Make her transparent instead of invisible, even though you can still see the dust particles left by an invisible NightcapNightcap is by far the chunkiest of the small characters (she’s much wider and somewhat taller than Imp and Acorn), and she’s already seen nerfs to Casting Shadows and Fung Fu, along with the nerfs to Parkour and Fleet Footed (one of which was justified). None of the changes you’ve listed will be better for the game or the character, it would just make Nightcap an incredibly unfun and ridiculous character to play.The only justifiable nerf is reducing her damage, and that would come with the addition of damage dropoff, which would stop sniping from all characters except the actual sniper classes. I honestly find it hard to believe that this post is not be a joke, because with these changes Nightcap would serve absolutely no purpose in the game. You’re asking to nerf a decently good plant, whose already been nerfed in almost every balance update, when the game is in a heavily Zombie-favored meta right now.She is meant to be a glass cannon and a stealthy assassin, with a high damage output but also having the lowest health in the game. I can agree that dealing with a team of Nightcaps gets annoying but at that point you might as well pull out Super Brainz or Electric Slide and just down them all in an instant. Learn the matchup and find a counter. If they tend to stay at the back of the group, flank and take them out. If they play aggressive, get the jump and take them out before they take you out.She’s balanced.

Boi with 50 hp and receiving double damage, it would get basically one shot by EVERYTHING 🤣 and this is disclosing the damage nerf, transparency nerf, reload nerf, and clip size nerf!

@DoomEternalHype you must have been heavily abused by a NC for you to suggest such a nerf. She got nerfed in 3 consecutive patches excluding the ttk patch. Actually, I think she got nerfed in ALL the patches since founders lol. You need to learn how to counter your opponent. I use soldier.I thought at first this post was a sarcastic joke but since it's serious I'll have to agree with @Shinobicap , given all the zombie-favored patches, you need to get good. Btw what character do you use against NC. What is your overall strategy. Maybe we can give you some pointers and share our experience. That might help!

Even ignoring everything else, 50 health is far too low for any character. Imp was 50 for a time in GW2 but was too easy to take out, even with splash damage at that low amount of health.Nightcap can indeed be annoying at times, but I've also sniped a ton of them as Deadbeard and accidentally vanquished some while they sneaked around invisible and got caught in my attacks. I really don't think they a nerf at all, much less all this at once.

I guess you are right. after playing as her, I realize she NEEDS that power to survive. but there must be some way to accomplish that without making her annoying. maybe limit the amount of nightcaps on a team? or just reduce damage to 13 or 15 from 17.

@DoomEternalHype This is such a bad argument it literally baffles me. Which Zombie is your favorite to play? Soldier? Slide? Wizard? Whoever it may be, how would you feel if that character got nerfed to the ground and was totally useless from that point onward? It would be devastating and probably infuriate you more towards the devs than the current presence of Nightcap in the game.

This is the same way those Nightcap mains you hate so much would feel if she got the changes you listed in your post. She would become USELESS. It would drive away a good portion of the playerbase if people saw that PopCap was okay with absolutely destroying a character like that.

She may need nerfs, but she has been nerfed in nearly every single update since Founders. They need to buff other plants instead of ruining one of the more viable ones.

Figure out the matchup and play against her.

@DoomEternalHype She really doesn't need any more nerfs - a whole team of them is annoying without doubt, but so is a team of Scientists or Imps turning to Mechs every couple of minutes.... and don't get me started on those AWFUL showcase weeks we used to have in GW2 where you'd end up against an entire team of Toxic Brainz! 🤯
At the end of the day, some players are better with her than others. I'm afraid you just got unlucky.

.... it’s a bit of a rough crowd. I remember being ostracized for predicting Zombies would be overpowered after upcoming patch notes were released once. Really. It was bad enough, we just closed the thread.
I’m pretty much anti-nerf and wish everyone could kill at a quicker rate.
