well your arguments are true and the Gnome bomb mode is very unbalanced i find that most clases are easy to handle. not saying plumer is hard, just saying that if im in the same lobby with most of the same people that i have won against for the past 3-4 maches and they start going plumer skillfull or not the kill count and overall tone of the game changes. if the oposing team plants the bomb the chanses of defusing are slim.
with peas. even if most teams are composed of them the bean bombs rarely get the defuser if an all star can defend.
chompers can take out one target but has to hide after (if an engenir trows a grenade he might not get a kill)
the all star has great coverage with the imp punt and ultra tackle so i get that he can be considered a wall when it comes to defusing
but the point whas mostly limitation. i get that crying nerf tends to destroy most competitive multiplayers
but the plumer is the only varient without a drawback. i mean damage , splash damage and radius improve with no downside. peas like the fire and toxic have less initial damage but have damage over time, agent pea has no splah but more damage at close range and so on for she other classes.
i dont whant to nerf engenir just add a certain drawback to plumer varient or limit the number in Gnome bomb.
when it comes to skill i rather be pushed to the limit by a all star or soldier since you nead a bit of aim with reagular attacks, zpg is not one hit kill without a direct hit and imp punt is kinda unpradictable if your new to the all star. i know its skill pushing me and not just splash that is killing me since he has no aim.
peas have less splash damage and radius and dont have an immunety to an opposing class.
You are going a bit off topic here lets try to stay on the main topic here which is the plumber and Gnome Bomb. Mostly everything in Gnome Bomb is unbalanced that's why many people don't like the gametype.
All-Stars are good defenders at defending the bomb, but only a couple of people can defend the bomb using the All-Star. Most of the time, people use Peashooters to Chili Bean Bomb the heck out of the objective. Peashooters often sprint past you then chili bomb the area and repeat. Most All-Stars can't stop the peashooters from running away thus, only a few people can defend the bomb using the All-Star.
The Plumber has a number of downsides:
- Your shots are extremely noticeable, especially if your far away.
- Has a low-average dps compared to the other characters/variants.
- Must take time in measuring how far your shot will go if your fighting someone sniper range (basically like a grenade launcher, but shoots a bit straighter).
- It's easy to avoid the Plumber's shots from far range since it travels slow.
- Your head is much bigger making headshots much easier and much more dangerous when fighting cacti.
There are a bit more downsides, but this is all I can think of so far. These downsides I listed are vital towards the Plumber's survivability and kills. With these downsides, the Plumber can't be op.
Btw, many people already know how to aim with the zpg and get tons of kills with the imp punt, don't tell me that it's hard to use.
