If you want him, you should have to earn him same as everyone else. Simple as that. At first I felt he was kinda "meh", but now I think he's totally worth it.
I've been working to level mine up. Only 2 1/2 more until he's a Master. And I have to say, I'm really enjoying him now. You have to learn to work with the warp, but it can be quite effective, in some cases even more so than burrowing. Not to mention Uni's quite the looker. I put a pair of diamond wings on mine; he's just so damn gorgeous! When I'm playing him, I think how lucky for the other people in the game to behold my magnificence!
I didn't care for it, but I think it should still be accessible somehow.
