Professor Brainstorm in Casual did not block

I just finished a casual two minutes ago.  I was Capt Combustible and opponent was Prof Brainstorm.

I played Shroom for two. He passed. 18 health

He played a grave. I played buff shroom. His grave was the kite zombie. Kite zombie gets killed and I hit him for 2. 16 health.

He passed. I play another buff shroom. I cannot remember what he did again (maybe passed) but I repeatedly hit him, his block meter went to full but he never blocked. Went down to 6.

I think he gave up and just passed at that point. Then my buffed shroom for 2 hit him again with a full block meter. Like what happens in the mission with Prof as last boss where his meter goes full and he doesn't block.

Is this a known glitch? I have played quite a few casual and some ranked matches and I have never seen that before.

  • not a glitch. when you have a full hand (10 cards?) you can't draw your superpower, and therefore don't block.

been this way since the game started. there are decks built around making your opponents hand full of cards so they can't block

I thought it was 12 cards?  I remember @EA_Andy mentioning it, but can't find the post.

Unless it changed overnight, it's still 10 cards.

I missed a draw yesterday playing a plant because I had 10 cards in hand.

The only way you can have more than ten cards in your hand in this game is if they are bounced back to your hand; which is basically this games version of milling your opponent. Purposely keeping their deck so full they can never draw new cards and their shield can never activate.

the card limit is 10. but you can 'force' over limit with bounce
