it's not an error, technically.
The game mechanics require effects/animations to take place before deaths
for example - this is how Imp-Throwing gargantuars will toss an Imp before dying.
Ways in which this can be abused are things like Unlife of the Party + Fireworks Zombie.
Played in that order, it will create a 2/1 UotP
Also - a (buffed) Kangaroo attacking a Briar Rose. (or a reduced Briar Rose) - The Kangaroo doesn't die but bounces to zombie player's hand.
I had no idea that Kangaroo Rider did not die due to Briar Rose's ability. Is the Kangaroo a Highlander relative? =O

Had two punishrooms out facing a damaged 1/1 Jester. Opponent Chickenings me.
Both punishrooms to die, I get that. First shot goes to Jester, his health drops and he does 2 damages to my hero doesn't disappear and then next shot hits him again and he again gets to keep hitting my hero.
