PvP Issues
This is just one example of a standard match for me. I get frustrated in-game because I die and don't understand how (OFTEN). I've just recently started watching BfN footage vs GW2 footage and deat...
With PvP, I find that it varies/fluctuates most of the time (for me at least, I don't know about anyone else).
Some of the time, it turns out fine without any issues, and the game ends up going noticeably well, but other times lag, delays, aiming issues or some other problems come into it, and it makes PvP not enjoyable or just plain frustrating. It's very noticeable when playing on split-screen because there's so much going on and it lags all of the time!
For instance, I was in a game of Turf Takeover yesterday and was put on the Plants faction, and the other team had 1 zombie, while my team had about 5 people. Because we were capturing and it was a payload-pushing map, there was not much to do at all, you can watch a video showing some of what happened in the match if anyone's interested:

My point is that PvP definitely varies a lot and can be very inconsistent, there's a lot of time where you keep getting vanquished randomly and your shots are not shooting or rendering damage on opponents (all that annoyingness) and other times where it goes fine without much issues which is a fairly rare occurrence.
Hopefully, there will be fixes or updates that will improve PvP at some point in the near future (livestream?) 🙂
@spIash_damage It is possible that the peashooter in your video that vanquished you had the "Homing Pea" upgrade. Can't tell though! 🤔
@TheSprinter85
Just to clarify.... So your team had 5 plants and the other team had 1 zombie? 🤔
@asabaida Absolutely 👍 ! I kept checking the sizes of each team to confirm, because I didn't see many zombies around! 😕
@TheSprinter85
Think I would have swapped to the other team.... maybe wouldn't have helped much by the sounds of it but I think I would have tried, probably as a healer to help the poor zombie out 😃
@asabaida There was so much healing going on my team, so it wouldn't be easy to make a comeback if I swapped teams … but I probably could have at least tried, and it doesn't abuse team swap, does it? No harm in doing so? I'll highly consider doing that in the future! 🙂

My KDR is less than 3 to 1 in PvP because that's all I do. If I coddled my stats, I could probably be double digits. I think the best way to get better is to face greater odds than normal.
not sure how you even play with aim assist off...good luck hitting acorn, imp or mushroom.
heavy costs me kills sometimes cuz it locks on to wrong char in group but much easier to laser people and track.
i used heavy in gw1 and gw2.

I manage to do alright just think that aim assist should not exist in games? 🤷🏼♂️
I need to try a few games with it on. I have a few nice clips from today with aim assist off.
EDIT: @Pheesley I think this is our new age of lag in some form or another. I wish we could see a recording from his screen and I would have a stronger grasp of what’s happening.
On a side note, I was just in Battle Arena with @GraveledStoopid and had horrible issues with connectivity. One guy was really stomping the crowd and the second he left, my stability returned?
Considering that EA seems to constantly have server issues, such as the lag we have consistently experienced, I wouldn’t be at all surprised if the issues you described here are due to the game servers not properly syncing the clients. Basically you and the guy vanquishing you are both seeing two different versions of what is happening “right now” with you experiencing a version where you are safely to the side of his shots and the other guy sees a version where he’s aimed and landing his shots.
I’d wager that your client side game state and the server state were different, for whatever reason, and since the game considers the server version to be “correct” you got yourself vanquished even though you experienced a version of the game where you were successfully dodging the incoming fire.
It’s just another way player latency and lag creeps in to ruin the experience.
