PVZ 1 survival endless crash

I am playing on a pc. I have completed 93 flags in survival endless. My laptop was accidentally off the charger and I tried to run survival endless. It immediately goes to a black screen and then sometimes it goes to a fatal execution error and lists the codes it failed at. I am Playing through origin. I rebooted, tried again, made sure my laptop was on power, and it did it again. I had to force close the program and I tried again. It failed again, I rebooted again. I am afraid if I try to uninstall and reinstall all progress in the game will be lost. I have tried multiple times to play this mode and it always fails and crashes the game. All other survival modes work and regular game play works. Please advise.
