Pvz android red eyed gargantua invincible

When playing the Survival mode on the android for plants vs zombies once you hit the red eyed gargantua you automatically lose. Its not the whole 300 hits thing. They are unkillable. No matter how many instants you use they cannot be killed. I read online and other Android users agreed. There is a glitch and it needs to be fixed.
