PvZ GW 2 on Wii U possibly?

Someone from EA, please be reading this. It is a good idea. The Wii U is an awesome system that many families have and don't want to spend money on a PS4 or Xbox One. EA also has contract with Nintendo bexause there are Need For Speed titles on Wii and Wii U. But because of hardware limitations (Wii U only has 16 GB or 32 GB) the game would have sized down. But the button map would be great as follows.

Menu: A=Accept B=Back Y=Invitations X=Send Invite R Stick=Choose option

In-Game A=Jump B=Nothing Y=Reload X=Ability 2
R Stick=Move, L Stick=Look Around, L=Zoom, R=Shoot,
ZL=Ability 1, ZR=Ability 3 (The Regular and Z buttons can be switched). But because of the Wii U's design, it would be recommended to use a Wii U Pro Controller or Classic Control Pro for the joysticks. Well , that is what I think. EA, please make this possible. I have a Wii U and my computer cannot run this game so other families and I would be greatly appreciated.
  • Correct me if I'm wrong but a comparison between the PS4, XBox One and the Wii U has the Wii U lagging far behind the other consoles in RAM, CPU, and GPU, so honestly I'm doubtful that the Wii U even has the horsepower to run the version of the game that everyone else is playing but more to the point the last time I checked the Frostbite 3 engine (developed by DICE) which powers the game just doesn't support the Wii U in the first place.

It's unfortunate but when the Wii U launched people who took a hard look at it's technical capabilities predicted that in two or three years it simply wouldn't be able to keep up with the PS and XBox competition and that's actually come to pass.

It's likely that to bring the game to the Wii U would require a drastic overall of the art and the game engine and that is probably cost prohibitive, especially since the CFO of EA has gone on record stating that they consider the Wii and the Wii U to have too small of a market size to actually continue to produce games on either of those systems.

This will definitely not happen. Hate to break it to you, but the Wii U is dead. The only two new games is (correct me if I'm wrong) LoZ (Legend of Zelda) and Paper Mario: Color/Colour Splash (which I'm still kinda mad about.) So no this will not happen at all. Maybe the NX, but we don't know what the NX is, or what it does.

Nintendo had its time and was very innovative in the past, however, they need to shut down console development and become just a game developer. With Zelda, Mario and Pokemon, they would make so much more money selling to PS and xBox owners. It would also be a huge injection of cash with only minor development to port over the older games that people love.

    Hey @AlbinoGoomba

Thanks for the feedback. I actually own a Wii U myself and do enjoy playing it with my son.

Unfortunately at the moment there's no news or information about PvZ: GW2 coming to other platforms.

  • Don't think the wii U is powerful enough to hang PVZ:GW2 at the first place.

At this point I gave up on EA, PvZGW would've been perfect for the Wii U, but EA hasn't even released any recent games on the system. Wii U could easily handle a game like this.

Now that the switch is revealed, is there any chance of PVZ GW2 coming out on it? I use to play PVZGW on my old Xbox 360 but i gave up on Xbox and my laptop would lag out too much.

  • @DylanRocks2

I would love to see it come to Nintendo Switch. Better yet, let's get GW3 running on it. When/If announced.

@gokublue2003 Are you having an issue with the game? If so, please provide some more information relating to what exactly it is.
