PvZH account recovery issues

So, I recently decided to create a second account in pvz heroes, on a different device. Then, I decided to sync this device with that account, but for some reason, I can't seem to be able to access the first one. Is it because the game deletes the other account when you sync? Or is it because the first account didn't have specifically an EA account at the time(even though I used my email to back it up)? For my second account, using just email to back it up without having an EA account seems to work fine, so I'm very confused.
