Question for Imp (Mech Hunter)

The perk that lowers your mech cooldown, how does it work exactly? I been looking at the cooldown while shooting people, but the cooldown doesn't seem to go lower. Do i need to kill? Is there a certain damage threshold I need to hit to lower the cooldown? I am currently not using it because I don't feel like it's been worth, but I am curious how it does work.

Currently using both the upgrades that buff Impkata, though not sure if the movement speed one that costs 4 is worth the 4 points either. So far my favorite upgrades have been Butt Booster, Arm Day and Supermassive.... But I have to say Ripcord does seem to make Impkata not a useless ability.

  • I'm wondering the same thing. I have it equipped but when I watch the timer, it doesn't seem to be affecting it.

So the way it kind of works is that instead of taking away seconds like 100 to 95, it takes the seconds and reduces them to half a second. It still count downs like normal, but it counts down faster. It’s hard to notice it in the middle of battle and I had to test this out in giddy park. It might be worth it if one does a side by side comparison with and without the trait

@Gowron248  I believe it's something like for every X amount of shots from your Imp your cooldown instantly decreases by about 2 or 3 seconds. I used that upgrade in PvP team vanquish today, it is excellent to use (worth the 4 upgrade points). Here's a small video I posted on me using it (I'm the player using an Imp). It definitely makes a difference in Boss Team Vanquish (and other modes). In this current weekly event, it's OP as you can feed off the plant bosses, give it a try and see how it works out for you!
