Quick Draw Con Man for Plants

This is what I propose to balance out dinoroar. Personally, I think the meta would be balanced if people tried to adapt and playtest their decks a few times, before resorting to just saying that the game is out of whack and only zombies can win. But, a company's gotta give the people what the want, and it looks like right now, the people want plants to be stronger.

If the plant size got a card like quickdraw, dinoroar would be much more difficult to use, with the zombie player to be taking a lot of bullseye damage making them want to play faster and be focused on troops rather than card draw.

This type of card would work both as quick damage in aggro/tempo decks, and in control decks, looking to reduce the zombie player's hand size, and get a little chip damage in.

Not sure what class this would work best in, but I would say smarty, because outside off bean decks, the smarty class is pretty bad, and it seems like a smarty card to me.

What do you guys think about this?

Can we agree that Lima-Pleurodon is the equivalent Plant card?  I kinda think the counter card is there, albeit in Legendary form.  While QCM has a quicker impact, LP too can quickly be devastating when you can start churning out 4/4 cards for 1 sun that also draws another card when played.

For the record I do think QCM is a great 1 brain card, but isn't OP.  Players need to ensure they have damage/removal cards in their hand.  Having those cards in decks is usually what is brought up every time a new Meta comes into play.  I play QCM quite a bit in my decks and it's rare that they make it beyond two rounds worth of play.

I understand your intent of the thread, and apologize if I hijacked this into a different direction.🤨  Having a Plant QCM could definitely impact how I play.  We can say that about any hypothetical card.  Most Bullseye cards seem to be in Guardian, with a couple in Kabloom.

  • The concept of con man is great - taking a pot shot at plant hero each card drawn. However conman is often placed on turn one. There is not that many ways to extinguish him swiftly. 2 banana bombs, 2 potato mine or even the new colossal mine takes 2 to get rid of him.. otherwise haunted pumpkin. How often do you get the right cards on turn one to face him and kill him? I can put  12 round 1 cards in my deck and still none are available at initial draw. Meanwhile turn two and there is another zombie, such as cheese cutter, drawing cards for the zombie.. or dr spacetime, dishing our cards to zombie hero (which can give them the card advantage, to win the game) . So while the plant is trying hard to get enough cards to kill con man, the rest of the zombie gang are ganging up in the lanes. Yes, admittedly its not conman that kills you as the plant, but usually the rest of the gang.. that your so far behind you can't catch up. Con man needs to be a 1/3 then he can dealt with.. if the zombie wants to buff him, or protect him they can.. remember they have these options. As for Lima-Pleurodon he is only a 2/2 Yes he can be in the water, but health is easier to extinguish than 4 health.

That's a typo. 1cost. Supertrick that turns zombie into random 1cost zombie
  • Oh my, can you imagine.. you change a zombie to a 1 cost and you get Con man.. yep the more I think of it the more I think he needs one less health, and possibly being a legendary considering the damage he can cause.
