Re: can you add a converting system

@Jacob2of3 i have 14 million. i think the fact that some people have so many coins now is one of the reasons why they may not implement a coin to rainbow star option. people wouldnt have to spend money to get the stuff they waanted as they'd get enough rainbow stars from coins. I wish coins served a purpose beyond rewardotron :/

This is one of the biggest problems with Neighborville, nothing to spend your money on .

It would be nice if coins could be converted into something like rainbow stars and if they made some items in Rux's shop cost coins instead. Even a conversion like 1 million coins = 10 rainbow stars would be totally fine with me as you will slowly but surely obtain them!

Coins need to do something past the empty reward-o-tron and occasional power level machine usage. I have just under 7 million coins and getting more just feels so pointless right now. The longer this goes on, the more coins we'll have stockpiled and the more frustrating that will be.

@TheSprinter85  That would be an outrageous exchange rate.... if they did something as obscene as that I would be completely finished with the game for sure. It would be worth nothing for the work in. No way!!
@AngryFreak2  suggests a much more reasonable exchange rate.

  • Long-standing complaint from many of us, unfortunately. I rarely play BFN once I finish the prize map, because it seems pointless with nothing to aim for once you're left with only the out-of-reach Rux items.

If only someone from the developerteam would pick this up!

    Wishfull thinking!

The more i play this game the more i think the developers hate us!

I mean why else release a game where you can not spend your earned coins?

Hmmm … maybe I was exaggerating a bit too much on the coin to rainbow star ⭐ conversion. 🤔😳 In that case, maybe something like 100,000 coins = 10 rainbow stars or even 10,000 coins = 10 rainbow stars would suffice too. Hopefully coins get even more uses though at some point! 🙂

The actual exchange rate is a tricky one but it has to be fair for those who play a lot and for those who maybe don't play as much too.
The situation with Rainbow stars is and will be a game breaker for many.
Even the prize map is becoming a serious issue for many players. Quite simply it is very difficult for many people to get the satisfaction and fun out of playing the game and earning rewards with this ridiculous currency system.

We earn coins which atm are absolutely useless once the Rewardotron is empty, which for many of us was empty many months ago.... unless you use the xp machine, personally Id rather just play the game and only have used the machine a few times since Founders to help out characters I'm not keen on playing.
OR cant finish the map for the Wizard and you can spend some on him. Sadly not for the legendary upgrades you missed from the map though as they will cost you rainbow stars.
And if you want buy bulbs to finish the map they will cost you 250 rainbow stars for 5 bulbs (cant remember the other prices for more bulbs) anyway that's a huge amount of rainbow stars just for 5 bulbs.

All this has to be taken into consideration... something has to be done about it as it has to be one of the most ridiculous, useless and unrewarding systems ever created.
As @ToastedSarnie points out once the map is complete there is little to no motivation for playing any more that month. You can just play watch your bulbs be earned but not applied (after you have saved your 50) and amass crazy amounts of coins that at it stands atm you can never use... there is no reward for playing more that month, in fact as time goes on and coins etc amass... while watching earned bulbs float away nowhere.... it feels more like a punishment.... and pretty boring.

....and thats not counting tacos, marshmallow and sheriff badges... we can change them for coins.... oh wait........ 😃

Edit: If they limited the exchange to 15/20 stars a weeks they may as well not bother.... that would also be ridiculous  as costumes cost from 550 to a 1000 rainbow stars and legendary hats seem to be costing 750... so really 15/20 stars a week isn't going to help the situation at all I'm afraid.

Edit 2: What would be nice in relation to the "lost" bulbs situation would be if we could donate them to someone else who was struggling to have the time to complete the prize maps... this would many of us very happy and be a nice thing for the community overall 🙂❤️

  • @asabaida The thing that really gets me, is that the whole coin situation was predictable. In GW, once you completed the stickerbook, the only thing you could use your coins on was packs of consumables & the packs contained more items for a cheaper price than GW2. In GW on my old, maxed Xbox 360 profile, I forget how many millions of coins I have, but know that I have over 5000 of each of the most easily obtained consumables.

PopCap learnt from that with GW2 - put less items in the packs, increased the price & added more customisations (even though it most were alternate colours more than anything) yet still most max rankers have completed the collection & millions of coins to spare......but at least you CAN buy something! (I spent 2 million on Easter consumables just yesterday 🤣)

To introduce BFN without having made provisions for what players spend their in-game currencies on, I find truly bizarre.
This REALLY needs addressing & converting coins to rainbow stars (at whatever rate as long as it's reasonable for more casual players as well) is the obvious answer, if they're not going to add more items to Reward-O-Tron 🤷‍♀️

I would argue even if they do add things to the rewardotron they should allow us to exchange coins for Rainbow stars. The currency system as it stands absolutely sux from start to finish.
And lets face it... most of the stuff that is available on the prize map apart from the end goals and maybe a couple of others is just fillers/slabs/expressions which amount to nothing mostly.
We have had this conversation so many many times over the past months and the situation is just getting worse sadly.

  • @asabaida its because ea and popcap dont care what the community thinks. only what they think. and what they think is that they should have money. and the game shouldnt be fixed
  • @asabaida And I would argue back that you're right! 😜😁🤣
I know, it's crazy that we've been flagging this since Founders & it's still spiralling out of control, putting the majority of us off playing.
  • @asabaida "Edit: If they limited the exchange to 15/20 stars a weeks they may as well not bother.... that would also be ridiculous as costumes cost from 550 to a 1000 rainbow stars and legendary hats seem to be costing 750... so really 15/20 stars a week isn't going to help the situation at all I'm afraid."

I meant you could only buy Rainbowstars 15-20 times, not only 15-20
    so 20x10 = 200, 15x10 = 150,

    @KrasserLoki1337
    Aha... I see... 😃

easily triggered by all the stuff going on in the game... from the technical to the reward/currency system...
so bored with discussions about it and the HUGE issues with lack of reward and ever growing mountains of useless coins not even being acknowledged.... let alone done about it.
Maybe one day they will recognise the serious damage it is doing to the loyal player base 🤞

  • @asabaida You're kidding?? Not here - chocolates & Easter eggs about the only things you CAN find in the shops here! 😂🤣
  • Yeah if Sprinter is worried about people grinding it out and breaking the economy they could easily just apply a cap, e.g. every week you can get 50 rainbow stars for 500,000 coins (or it could be divided into smaller amounts but the point still stands that you can't get more than 50 per week)
