"Anyone caught playing as an invalid character in PVP will be permanently banned. This is not okay and ruins the experience of others."
Ok, i feel I need to reiterate what was said above.
IT WAS AN ELABORATE HOAX MADE FOR APRIL FOOLS' DAY
As for actual cheaters on PC, it would seem that Mr. Laker's tweet was merely lip service. Myriad posts on the reddit sub demonstrate that these folks continue to used hacked characters on PC with impunity. At best, it's a game of whack-a-mole because the same people keep coming back with new accounts when some action is actually taken. As long as the game is this easy to hack, it's going to continue. Though we do seem to be in a slack period. I haven't seen any hacker posts for a little while now, maybe a week or two. So perhaps there is some sporadic enforcement taking place.
