Re: character balance

The characters are set up in a way that it encourages the class to do what it is supposed to do.

Sunflowers - Support (Ranged healer/monk)

They are made to stand back, heal, bust a few assists out, heal, heal, flower drop, sunbeam a zombie to save an ally, heal, revive, heal, revive, sun pulse another assist. They aren't made to waltz up to zombies and conk them out 1v1. But it is possible. I've done it plenty. I prefer the Sunflower to the others, Fire Sunflower to be specific.

Cactus -  Support (Ranged high damage/ranger)

They are your snipers. Again, staying towards the back, they set up guards and perimeters to protect say... GARDENS! Drop potato mines in the most unlikely places for Zombies to find with their feet. The drone is the help get eyes on the enemy and to help clear out groups or pick off zombies that are running from death.

Pea Shooters - Ranged Damage (Mid-ranged, mid-damage like an elementalist or something similar)

They are your main source of damage. They were designed to be in the front or mid-line character. With a Sunflower behind them, Peas can become the most powerful in the plant classes. The Gatling was designed to take out zombies as they come up, not WHEN they are on top of you. Their splash damage allows them to chase more than the others. Their Hyper ability mimics the Foot Soldier's jump. This gives 2 characters (one on each side) the ability to be elevated.

Chompers - Melee Damage (Short-ranged, high-damage like a tank or warrior)

Chompers are made to be sneaky. They are the front lines but not the first to be seen. If a Chomper allows the zombies to see the Peas first, then take them out while they are distracted, the Chomper can be the best plant out there. His burrow ability is amazing if used correctly. Goop allows for saving allies or self. And the snare is amazing for making an easy target for self and allies. The Count Chompula, I believe, is the best of the different versions, because he gains health after each meal. This allows him to be more self-sufficient.

Then for Zombies, you have their counterparts. The only variance here is that no zombie has a melee like the Chomper, putting the Chomper at more of a disavantage. But this allows creates more of an urgency to be stealthy with the Chomper (which is what he was designed for).

Now I'm not saying that you can't do anything other than what these characters are designed to do, but DANG if you aren't going to use the character to it's fullest extent, why are you playing it! It's about learning how to play, not playing how you want. If you want to play the way you want to, go back to your stupid boring FPS games like Battlefield or Call of Duty.

This game is about skill, not luck, or who-saw-whom-first.

Oh, and Boss mode: amazing. It helps SO much. I highly recommend the Xbox One version.
