@mikepal19id recommend both the hp regen upgrades. they let you fight way more often. with the remaining 3 points you could go emergency exit + any 2 point upgrade of your choice, or just go Peached for 3 points. emergency exit is probably better because it's guaranteed to proc. the movespeed is really helpful as well. the risk with taking peached is if you don't directly hit the target with the empeach, the extra stun time is not applied to them. so you've wasted 3 points and now wait 20 seconds before getting a shot at making use of the upgrade.
As citron, its basically ur job to just go around ramming things with spin dash and shielding plants. I see alot of Citron players just walking around with their shields up for no reason. they dont attack or anything. they just hold the shield and die when it breaks. try not to overuse the shield? Citron is a tough one to get top vanquisher with. I guess if you want ez kills just target imps?

@mikepal19  I use Citron often, he is mostly a shield character and not much of an attack character, his job is to protect his team! He hard-counters Imp, because Spin Dash insta-kills him and the stun makes him easier to hit, and stuns his mech for longer. In addition, his primary does splash which counters imp to an extent and he has a shield to protect himself (don't bother with Navel Laser, except with Imp's Mech)!

    As for upgrades:

    • I must suggest Emergency Exit as a must-have, it costs 1 upgrade point and it allows you to move and sprint faster for a short time after spin dash resolves. It's worth the cost!
    • The Health Regeneration and Health Regeneration Delay upgrades, costing a total of 4 points (or 2 points each), with the regen delay being cut in half, and the regeneration rate being doubled.
    • Levelling Up, if struggling to use him and want to level him up quicker, only costs 2 upgrade points and means you don't have to use him for as long, if you would prefer not to!
    • Quenching Cover, which gains extra ammo for your primary weapon when shielding damage, it costs only 2 upgrade points, and is good if you swap between attacking and shielding frequently.

I suppose it also depends on how you would prefer to play citron (such as offensively, defensively, extra reviving etc.) The upgrades I listed cost 9 upgrade points in total, so you can't use all of them at once!

    I hope this helps you!

Nice thanks for the advice.  I already use both health regen and the quenching shield upgrade, but never tried the emergency exit. I mostly use his primary and shield, and I try to stun people who are mostly alone to get a solo kill.  I can barely execute that strategy lol.

Anyways I don't think I use his dash as often as you guys are suggesting.  What im gathering is to spin dash as much as possible, shield other plants, and hunt imps since it's instant kill with the dash.  Ok sounds like a good plan.  I'll try it and report back 🙂
