Re: [Discussion] - Will The Boss Hunts Return?

@NinjagoKristianThey have stated a response saying that of the options they've looked at none have worked thanks to the game being old and backend support ending and as of now there is no intention to fix the mystery portal while they attempt to release a fix to the ban situation next year.

However EA community managers like Shepard have stated that they continued interest in these subjects is being noticed so maybe something could change one day.

I feel you though the fact that we're finally getting activecommunication and overall a kind of semi spike of gw2 activity from nostalgia and potential portal fix hype would've been a good thing for the series right now since we've stagnated since the pvz 3 sunset with no news of whats next for the series. Just something to keep fans interested in you know?

    I'm really hoping to see these modes return, along with Soil Survivors and Community Challenges as well if possible. I know many players would like to achieve 100% achievement completion and 100% completion of the game and I'm still seeing entirely new players at Rank 1 join the Multiplayer lobby when playing with friends (on most days now). I really hope that EA will decide to return these  modes and our community would be extremely grateful if they do! 🤞

  • Yeah, I've noticed that PvZ GW2 has been getting active lately and they actually are handling the ban situation on a 7 year old discontinued game... so it's possible for changes to still happen, I think the game would hit new record player counts if they brought that back (steams record is 4200, rn there is 3200 on so if they made more DLCs or fixed/changed the mystery portal they could revive the game). Even I am still buying DLCs and the games on different platforms in 2023, so I hope that they take note that players still play the game and they either continue fixing/updates (not likely), or they could possibly make a GW3 someday. I wouldn't expect anything before 2025 at the earliest though.

    Yes! I had GW2 and GW1 on PS4, and I have like 1000 hours playtime on GW1 and like 500-600 on GW2 there, and recently bought GW2 and BFN on steam (i only got BFN to support the franchise, I haven't really played it), but GW2 I've put like 30 hours within the past 3 days into it and I would love to see it being able to be 100%'d

    Considering the influx of new players that have started playing GW2, it would be great if they could obtain 100% completion as well. Most of my friends started playing GW2 well after the game's main services were discontinued and it would be great for them and new players to get the chance to try these amazing game modes!

    @Megaladon4004 I would have to agree. EA and PopCap have created this wonderful franchise. I would hate for these games to be left in an uncomplete state, especially considering all of the new players that have recently started playing. I would have mad respect for EA and PopCap if these modes were returned to us to play again.

    I do still enjoy modes like Garden/Graveyard Ops and Multiplayer with friends, although I sometimes get bored if I play for long amounts of time. I don't think I would ever be truly bored of playing Boss Hunt, however.

    My main goal for when they return will be to defeat the Boss Hunts in Crazy Difficulty. I have never been able to beat these hunts in Crazy, however after all these years, I long for the day that I can finally beat at least one of them in Crazy. I've been able to do Brothers Gnomus and Sasquatch in Hard, but not the others. Boss Hunts were truly one of the best modes of all time!

    @Megaladon4004 Me too. In my opinion, Yeti King in Crazy Difficulty would likely be the most difficult. The ice variant enemies result in this Boss Hunt being extremely hard, even with Sunflowers.

    @Megaladon4004  Same

    @TheSprinter85  Yeti King on crazy IS the most difficult, like seriously, have you ever tried beating Yeti King on crazy? It’s the wildest and most extraordinary boss hunt in the game ❤️

    @ForeverKnights I don't even think I have tried this boss on Crazy before as I haven't even won hard before. Honestly though, my goal will be to beat this Boss on Crazy. Even doing this hunt on Normal was ridiculously frustrating sometimes, but I was nowhere as good with Boss Hunts back then.

    @TheSprinter85 I think I’ve tried yeti king on crazy mode once, but only because someone else had placed the bait before me, because I certainly haven’t unlocked it.

    The Yeti King was such a struggle even in Normal difficulty. I need another chance to defeat it in Hard and Crazy...
