The last two weeks, I’ve been playing in Europe and South America and have only seen one person taunt me after one frag on those servers. It’s amazing the difference in cultures as FAR FEWER people try that bunny hopping trash/corner glitching; America is super trash, comparatively.
East and West American servers are FULL of people cheating and taunting with great toxicity to the point I expect to see them DAILY in BA.I’ve had only 2 people I confront admit they were cheating and everyone else I’ve confronted either won’t respond or call me racial terms and the large majority have their messages turned off altogether.

I have my Giddy Park set to private at this time. I played several matches of the weekly last night and had zero experience with any of this kind of behavior. If anything it's been the opposite as there's one player I've seen fairly often in PvP over the last couple of weeks and Zack Scott videos also says GG if they're on the podium, win or lose and I've not seen any taunts in game from other players.
However, as this is obviously happening, it needs to stop. There are far too many younger players and while us old farts can just roll our eyes, laugh it off, or get some payback, I'm not a fan of people using abusive behavior against someone's 6 year old.

I wanted to add that due to some people using the emotes and such to be nastier than normal (especially the poop one), I turned off my chicken sighting quote which wasn't meant to be an attack (although it could be taken as such out of context), it was meant to be silly and to reference an old in joke from when I played BF: 1942 a lot.
There were hot keys to announce stuff to your team and I started calling out:"Enemy submarine spotted!" even though we were playing maps with no ships or water at all and it became an in joke. We only did this in private matches obviously, but the chicken one made me chuckle but I've seen people using it against each other which ruins the fun.
Online competitive games have a lot of toxic players unfortunately, but the PvZ shooters have been pretty decent overall, even when in GW1 people had their mic stuck open all the time before a patch. I'll do what I can to avoid increasing these issues but not sure what we can do to keep bad actors from causing problems, those glitches need to be fixed which will help, but behavior can be hard to change.
I will continue using my 'Sandwiches!' emote though! I swear PopCap read my mind for that one, I use that as a silly battle cry a lot.
- @Iron_Guard8 Unfortunately a lot of the emotes & stuff have double meanings (some truly disgusting) that not everyone will be aware of, so it's also hard to work out how some things are being used & meant.
I was only enlightened recently about a few of them & now I'm honestly so worried about accidentally causing offence that I've stopped using all but dances, a few strategies & the most clear-cut of social phrases 😧
