Re: Encountering a lot of Toxic Players Lately

@PineapplePiano I know these situations where I want to counter the spawn campers. Sometimes it works, sometimes not, especially If there are cheaters.
If it becomes unfair messing around in Giddy Park due to exploiters and cheaters it makes no sense to stick around. You just feed them. Last time I stayed in Giddy Park to make some footage to report a player I got vanquished 9 times in a row by him and he still is allowed to continue his unfair playstyle.

  • You guys are right- Giddy park used to be a lot of fun, but I don't see it getting any better soon. I'll switch my giddy park today 👍

I still frequent a Public Giddy park, but mostly because I keep my account open for new people to join- my higher Rank is attractive to newbies who want help in the PvE areas- and i like to lead people to the secret Gnome area.

Spawn camping is not always rampant but I do see one team or another bunched up at the other's drop-in point pretty often. While I'm not opposed to PvP combat in the Park I, more often then not, tend to keep to myself shooting targets until someone takes a shot at me but even when I join in the combat I don't hang out at the spawn point and take a dim view of those that do and if I'm particularly bored I'll often join the team being camped to help break up the campers.

As far as toxicity is concerned I haven't encountered a lot. Most recently I saw it in Turf Takeover when a Timed Challenge forced me into the 8v8 again about a week ago.

I'm not opposed to the gesture taunts- I know I did my fair share back in GW2- because those are pretty goofy and somewhat entertaining, but where BfN has introduced Emotes and expressions some of the isolated ones that they came up with have been combined into deliberately offensive statements. I've seen the "Poop" emote or the "What Smells?" expression combined with the "It's You!" expression a few times.

The developers undoubtedly wanted these to be fun and amusing but that sad fact is that some of them were almost immediately twisted together into offensive taunts and I've left several lobbies which had players using them because i find it distasteful.
