Hey, Folks

So chatter on this is still happening. For the moment it has left my hands which is why I haven't mentioned it. I asked for an update on this one so that we can get word to everyone.

Sadly at the moment, there has not been an update on what is happening. Things have been crazy busy right now with the different releases.

Once we do get the word, we will definitely post that. I wish I had better news for updates but I am keeping an eye on it.

Here are some things that things went under the radar in this whole situation that should have been brought up if it wasn't when "tossing together some info to send up the chain", The garden fiesta event broke the servers due to how many people was on at once breaking EA's expectations and the servers temporarily, The fact that PC is the least active platform yet is the reason why we recently got recognised by EA due to steamdb showing the player count so EA is most likely underestimating the player count and the reason I'm saying this is a lot of people bought the game on EA Orgin before the game came to steam & Epic games launcher and most people are most likely not going buy the same game again on a different store which is making the player count lookway small than it is due to steam being the only store that shows player count, I hope something positive comes from this, something that happened a couple of years ago with the deadest game in the pvz shooter franchise (BFN) when it initially launched it had close to no advertising and it launched as soon as it was announced meaning there was no hype build up and that caused the game to not do well, But with the switch version it was announced at Nintendo Direct 2021 February 17th and launched on March 19th meaning there was hype build up causing it to sell more compared to the other platforms which had no hype build up as seen on the image below, My point is the pvz shooter franchise can still do well it just needs proper marketing, Even without marketing GW2 still is successful it always ends up being not far from the top when categorized by best selling even when categorized in the bestselling sale charts, Also GW2 is currently more popular than Battlefield 2042 and one of sony's biggest ips (The last of us) and Battlefield is a EA franchise which is still supported unlike the pvz shooter franchise source: PlayStation store, I hope my little rant gets redirected to the EA higher-ups because it's awful seeing how neglected these games are.

@Omy4kris I feel like the people at EA know all of this but hide it because they make it feel like its bad for one of their older titles to be doing good. Almost all of the fans are just screaming this out loud, but EA cares little to none about this game.

I am keeping an eye on it. The issue for us as CMs is that once we bring these types of concerns up, they leave us and go to a lot of other higher ups that have to make those decisions. 

I, sadly am not one of those Studio Peeps that make those calls for PvZ. I have to wait for word like the rest of the fan bans which is maddening sometimes for me. I get it. Sit and wait is never a fun thing.
