You can get it as a Zombie pretty easily.
From the Backyard Battleground
- Join Zombie team
- Load up the Multiplayer Portal
- Select "Solo" > "Turf Takeover" > "Great White North"
- Go to "Team Options"
- Set Plant and Zombie team to "None"
- Back out and hit "Activate"
- Join the match
- Capture points as necessary to get to the Gnome
