Re: Graphics Card

Intel HD Graphics is not a video card. It's just piggy backing off the CPU to run video.

You need a dedicated video card for an enjoyable experience. It's not a support problem, it's a power problem. You can be irritated all you want, but it's not gonna make the developers force the game magically run on inferior hardware.

Luckily, you still have a refund option.

I enjoy that you attempt to sound like you know what you're talking about, but Intel is a graphics card brand and is a more advanced brand than AMD for that matter.  I've run games ranging from Terraria to Battlefield 3 with this, I don't need a 2nd graphics card.  Running the same engine as Battlefield 3, I don't understand why PvZ can't run.

What Intel IGP do you have?  The game seems to run on 4400, 4600, 5000... not ideal certainly but on low settings and reduced resolution they can be playable, according to reports on here.  It was reported the 4600 was getting 20-30fps on medium and was fairly steady at 30fps on low, not sure what the resolution was but I would guess it was 1366x768.

HD4000... not so much but it does "run"  I have tested it while pushing two monitors with a mobile 3230m.  I got about 10fps at 1366x768.  Oh I also put a single DDR3 4GB 1333 stick instead of the usual 2x4 8gb 1600 get that 10fps number.  Maybe soemday I'll test it with the faster RAM, and not be pushing two external monitors; just use internal display.... maybe monday if it's slow.

I'm not interesting in a peeing match about who knows more about computers, just what you have currently that you want the game to run on.

    BF3 used Frostbite2.... BF4, Hardline and PvZ uses Frostbite3.

Any idea where to check?  I'm almost certain it's 4000, but not confirmed.  In dxdiag all it says is Intel(R) HD Graphics.  The main issue is not FPS, is the map loading.  I've tinkered with the settings and almost nothing works, the map just doesn't load.  Occasionally if I jump the map loads on low quality for a second but then it immediately goes away.

CPU model # and then check it on like Intel's site or another site to see what HD#### it is.

    HD4000 is most common.
