I think if you took the time you'd find that you can eliminate pretty much any Plant pot from some point on the map out of the range of the Scaredy Shroom psycho Infini-ammo machinegun.

I know because I've been doing it for pretty much the entire event on every map after I realized what the Crazy rules had done to them and at every Garden I was able to sight and shoot them from a distance, small target or not.
