Re: [IMPORTANT QUESTION]: Recommended Team Composition for Upcoming Boss Hunt

I've beaten this on every level and with a  few different compositions but even on normal you need at least one sunflower and they should use the rainbow heal flower if possible. The regular healing flower is ok but the rainbow one spews the healing stars more often and it's vital to get constant heals to prevent the freezing from ruining your day. Definitely do not use the dark flower for this one!

Corn and Pea Shooters are great here as they can get on the roofs and have excellent vantage points to shoot the popsicles and they can avoid a lot of the freezing effects as well up there.

Stuffy and Vampire flowers are the best for sure. Stuffy's secondary effect from vanquishing zombies can heal and unfreeze allies and the vampire flower can heal herself although I don't think her life drain breaks freezing effects.

Torchwood has decent survivability and his flame breath attack can be handy vs. the groups of suicide yeti imps.

As posted above the sunflowers have a LOT of work to do and I ended up playing them a lot as I have all mine maxxed and have healed raids in MMOs before which is invaluable here as well.

Sometimes it's actually better to let a teammate fall and then rez them to full life instead of trying to heal them through nasty groups as a sunflower since you rez so quickly and they rez at full health! It sounds odd I know but sometimes it works out the best.

Something that hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread is the vital importance of getting rid of the yetis and disco zombies that spawn before trying to deal with the king's fool.  They will absolutely come back to bite you in the rear later.

A major complaint I read about this hunt is the king's fool spawning far away from the yeti king.  The fool can be kited closer to the yeti king. G et a few shots in on him and he will follow you.

My apologies for taking this thread adrift from its initial focus on team composition.

I play with Iron Citron, he's great killing zombies and survive but he's struggle with popsicle. His hit has 50 damage, I don't understand why the popsicle doesn't get destroy quickly. I've 2 reload upgrade, but still struggling with it.

The one I realize, popsicle spinning around and the popsicle only get damage when facing you. Otherwise the hit doesn't do damage. But this is not happening for other characters such as corn. Not sure why there's such different treatment ?? or is it a defect ?

  • Germanshu show best place to knock down ALMOST all popsicles from 1 place !!!    :  The roof top of bridge near the spawning place.

He basically did all the work and electric citron DPS (combination with fast finger) is really good, just need one reload.

So either Corn or Citron, can attack from this place. Just watch for artic trooper who love to shoot and freeze you up there.

    1.  If you're citron, turn your shield up.

    2. If you're corn, ask one of the sun flower to stand by under the bridge and heal you up while fully protected from the elements.

This way, knock down popsicle is a piece of cake. Brilliant trick, right ?

Almost perfect, except one popsicle is hiding on top of the car (far left side of the 2nd picture, near the zombie gnome bomb place) and one is on the far right...for these two, a pair need to go there in the beginning or middle of popsicle round....the time should be sufficient....just watch out for yeti and disco guy.
