You are on the lucky side of things, correct me if I am wrong, but PSN is free, so unless you are uncomfortable with giving credit card information and E-Mail, this shouldn't be a problem.
On the other hand, if the information I had above is wrong, then you need PSN to play the game. This is made clear on the game's case so this shouldn't have happened in the first place, but yes, it shouldn't be that way...
Sorry coachsdot but if it were PSN it'd be no big deal.
But readers should know that this game will not start without playstation plus - the monthly subscription.
The problem is that the game's box indicates "1-2 Players" and "2-24 Network PLayers" and that "Online Multiplayer..Playstation Plus Required".
So most buyers, like my kids and I, make the buying decision thinking that they can play 1-2 players offline.
Except this is not true. You must have the premium subscription service to even play this game offline on your own couch at home.
So like weymes, we got another family who's feeling misled by EA here.
This is NOT how you do it EA.
Just plain wrong and you're off my Christmas card list now.
