Re: Ops - Elite Yeti Video Tutorial (Nightcap)

@spIash_damageGreat clip, advice & very nice play, sir!!!
It seems Yeti has been making a comeback for a lot of us, after not seeing him for a while - I had him late last night.

I'll be honest, my heart sank when I saw he was coming!
For a start, I was playing Chomper, which would not have been my 1st choice for this. 2nd my team : I had two very new players, one a Sunflower who had been very good at scattering heal flowers but not using the heal beam, a Night Cap who had died a couple of times & I'd had to revive because the Sunflower didn't & finally a decent ranked Rose who had spent the first 3 & a half waves dancing instead of shooting anything!

Amazingly though, we defeated him! My team actually visibly stood back & watched me take the lead. They got the hang of attacking the Champion Imp & the first time let me receive the boost, watched me & stayed close.
The other times, the Sunflower caught on, took the boost & went into sunbeam, the others joining her while I did a mix of attacking Yeti & keeping the Soldier & other hordes safely away from them. (ADDED: I often make sure I take out healers first when doing crowd control)

The one part they didn't pick up on was the need to defeat the Yeti Army - so I focused on that, actually finding the Grody Goop was perfect!!

Again, nice job, Splash!!

@spIash_damage  I loved ❤️ your video! It was very detailed and I watched it carefully, noticing what you did that I did not. Coincidentally, the 2 times I attempted this, I was also Nightcap (first time in Rando Ops) and found that there were many reasons I could have lost each time. I was surprised we lost, because I was even playing on split-screen as well. I watched the video and noticed a lot of things I could have tried! Next time I get this wave, I will employ these tactics!

@ToastedSarnie  Thank you for also providing tips!🙂

I haven't been in a game with a Yeti wave since I don't even know when but its been a whole huge lotta Ops ☹️ and actually even Elite waves haven't been very frequent. How weird!

I’ve had people (real life friends who play online with me) come watch me play and be rather disappointed in my performance... not that I’m bad but the difference in success and failure can often be the smallest things such as patience and perspective and have very little to do with skill.

If you’re ever stumped on a challenge, take a breather and employ different techniques when you return.

@asabaida  I get elites OFTEN but no so much for Yeti.  Oddly enough, I turned on my game and only had time for one round of Ops and low/behold, there he was!? 🤷🏼‍♂️

@spIash_damage I'm the same, often have Elite but think I've only had Yeti 3 times altogether.
I also seem to find I have spells where I've had the same boss popping up more often than any other, to then change to a different one more commonly appearing after a week or two. I've been in a run of Disco Boss mostly this week!
