Re: PC version for pvz garden warfare

It's nice that EA can't say anything about it! the whole pc community is pissed of because pvz 2 is mobile only and pvz gw need more than 2 mounths for a pc version (i'm sorry but it's a simple third-person shooter and it can't be so damn difficult to programm it for the pc.). Hurry up or you will lose a lot of  pc gamers

There is a very high chance the game is already done. Console games are almost always created on PC and ported to console. Popcap would never reveal the answer but I would put money on the fact that it is done, and waiting for the Microsoft exclusive to expire. IE its not a matter of programing, If PC gamers want to be mad at someone be mad at Microsoft.

Also this, you will lose a lot of PC gamers is silly. They said spring right? So therefore until June 20th, with or without a release date nobody has right to complain. Without a release date players just need to wait, with a release date they need to uh... wait. Knowing how long you have to wait doesn't change how long you have to wait.

While I get what you are saying, I do somewhat disagree. GW is getting its fairshare of limelight right now, which makes me want to buy it. If it were out right now, I would buy it. If it came out soon, I would preorder it. But without having a solid date, I'm not preordering anything. I also don't know what game will excite me in 2 months time. I might think Garden Warfare is old news, some other game might have the limelight.

I'm not saying that they're not going to make any money by not having a release date, but they might lose a few buyers who are being swept up in all the lets play videos online.

Think about it though, preorders are not set in stone (at least not in most places) they can be removed. Preorders don't speed up the release date, or even determine overall sales, they only show intrest. Point being if the release date is near another, better game, people would buy that game regardless of if they preordered GW or not.You have a choice between picking up a game you preordered or picking up a game you want more penalty free, what do you do?

As for limelight, again regardless of how much hype it has now that won't move the release date anywhere. The point im making is, while the public does not know when GW will release on PC, Popcap does. It will be on store shelves that day even if we are never told. Regardless of if we know when that date is it will remain the same. (So it will have issues if it is near a big title, public release date or no)

Either way, I can sorta see where you are coming from. Just tired of seeing, posts about an exact release date when we have been given a time frame. I think between April 21 and June 20th is narrow enough. That's basically 8 weeks.
