Save your coins for the limited time packs that are available during bosshunts. Depending on whether the boss is a zombie or plant, you'll get the chance to buy a turret or potted plant pack for 15k.. They usually contain a decent amount of bots and are worth the money IMO. I tend not to buy the 2500 pack and just spend on these packs.
Having said that, it would be nice to see not packs separated from the summomables.

    The problem with the bigger badder turret pack is the same as its strength - it doesn't give any low value consumables.  I like to save before boss hunt and buy a few hundred thousand worth of the turret packs.  But now I've only got like 10 pea cannons, gatlings, etc.!  As great as the high value consumables are, the weaker ones like pea cannon have their uses.

    The thing to do with the 2.5K minion pack is to buy a batch of 20 of them or more.  Due to the RNG it's the only way to get some of the consumables you're looking for.
