@imaPetalhead Thanks for the request on this one. I see quite a bit of people streaming the series too and would love to see this. Sadly, something like this won't happen. There are no further planned updates for the series that would implement new features.

Will pass it along to the team as feedback for you though. If the series is revisited at any point, it will be up for a new feature request to be added.

I really wonder why they won't do anything. There are millions of requests on Twitter, Reddit, TikTok, etc. People are unironically begging for a GW3, why do they refuse? Eventually people will lose interest and not bother with the franchise if they don't do anything at all.

I'd say it was because Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville didn't work, but I remember that Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 was on Steam's top sales when it came out.
But now, with Plants vs. Zombies 3 and Plants vs. Zombies: Match I feel like the franchise will be stuck in copying other popular mobile games. ☹️
