Wow, what a waste. I was really looking forward to using him.

I'm still running with him.   It's a decent card still, and with the chance to something else its a bonus...

Right now he does seem more useful as a card they have to take care of rather than for what he does 

ok actually  - someone explained to me why Spartacus works this way, and it is NOT an error with the card.

The trick has to complete, and kill the target, before the effect takes place.

(Otherwise removing Black Eyed Pea would be require an additional +1 dmg...)

Black eyed Pea and Vimpire (technically) should still do their abilities but EA chose not to because making them come back to life would be broken. Will sportacus come back to life? No. It should still do 2 damage like all the others. 

Punish-Shroom's effect still works when he is destroyed.

Sportacus should be the same.

I would imagine that is not possible due to the way the code is written

there is a huge difference between punishroom being destroyed, and a trick being played

just as trying to code for BEP to not come back to life is the exact reason that spartacus doesn't do 2 dmg. it's either one or the other with the current code
