- @iluminatethesky That hat is nice indeed. But I don't know, something is missing on them. It's like a Teddy Bear just sitting on the head. I'd like to see them attached to the head with a beanie or something else. What comes next? A washing machine which is magically stuck to the head? It feels like the devs are so busy in creating new cosmetics for the Prize Maps and the challenges (don't forget about the empty Reward-OTron) that the universal hats somehow seem to be unfinished. Do you know what I mean?
- @ippig Yes, agree. Very few of these universal "hats" suit many of the characters because of the size or angle they sit at.
Too small for characters like Citron & sit weirdly on Sunflower for example. Yep, agreed... they just end up looking odd on some/most characters... haven't got the teddy one yet but I'm pretty sure I wont know who to use it on.
Worse on the ones that are bald unless hair is part of their current "hat".
Sidenote: and what about characters that wear 2 matching shoes... and the rewardotron gave out one shoe as a cosmetic.... for Slide for example and the 80s dude... 🤨I've liked all the character challenge hat rewards for each month - it's great how all of them can be put on to every character/are all universal hats (except for Lawn of Doom, it was only for Kernel Corn). All of hats have some characters it doesn't suit very well, but for others it's really good. It's probably just best to test it out on each of the characters, but having the universal feature is great to play around with! 🙂
Just got it myself last night. I rather like these universal hats. Of course we're still lacking THE universal hat; the Everlasting Crown from GW2!

The Everlasting Crown? That was such a great universal customisation - no reason why it can't be implemented into BfN as well at some point? 💡
- @Iron_Guard8 We asked about this MONTHS ago in a post and I still have hope. That was the thing my entire family like the most about GW2. Okay, I may be stretching things a bit but it gave the game a whole new life and I never wanted to wear anything else as a hat once I had it. We used the phrases around the house all the time. I still use the crown in GW2 and I don't think having that deep-voiced cheerleader in my hat will ever get old.

Edit: there is that knit cap which looks great on my Scientist. Was it the challenge hat of december? That looks really cool and is actually a real hat 🙃
Helping Washy was one of my absolute favorite quests so a washy washing machine hat would be great!

Sounds like zombie abuse to me! A lawnmower hat? They'd constantly be there, looking up and waiting, waiting for it to strike... 😢

I did have a very faint hope after Founders got the Unicorn Chomper hat that maybe they'd issue a Twilight Chomper version to the GW2 max ranks . . . 😔
Back fully to original topic (sorry @iluminatethesky!) the Super Strumbear is cute but would look even better if sitting on top of a proper hat as @ippig said.
Or if it were at least scaled in size to better suit each character?? I agree, some more thought could go into these. The only one I thought was really weird was the Marshmallow hat, I don't use that one at all.
It does look kinda awkward on most of the Characters. I was trying it on yesterday, and couldn't really find a suitable character 😅
I honestly don't really use the Character Challenge hats that much.
- @iluminatethesky I think I put it on Acorn, Soldier & Space Cadet as a trial, as they looked ok-ish size-wise, but it depends what other facial customisations you have on really. I'm still undecided!!

Yeah, the marshmallow one is really weird. It looks like they just threw that one together in a few seconds and put it in the challenges 😅 I'm hoping some of these will be better designed for future challenges.
Put it on Corn, with the "Emo" outfit 😜
@TLEsquireNow this thread becomes philosophical: what is a hat anyway? According to PvZ anything I put on my head is a hat. But what is it if I am going to put my one year old daughter on my head? Is she a hat or is it just her sitting on my head?
Does anybody have any recommendations for customization combos that look really cool that they use with certain characters?
