Re: Team Vanquish event

Thing is you have to actually care enough to complete them... and truth is I just don't...
Ill pop in now and then when I can be bothered and if I get it... great...
if I don't well so be it...
but it is quite honestly the least of my concerns both  in the game and in life atm 😃

Its just a shame that when the game should be giving us some escape from the realities of life (especially atm).... that they re-introduce weekly modes that just make us stressed and peed off.
They have already, twice before, been given feedback on this mode and I don't remember any of it being very favourable.

My weekly challenge tips for this week's Power Team Vanquish event are as follows, for those who want those rainbow stars this week 🙂:

1. Win a Match. When joining a lobby, there is a chance that you will get placed within the middle of a match where your team is winning and/or wins. In that case, there's a quick win (I managed to get lucky in this regard). As this is Team Vanquish, healing and reviving are very valuable as you can somewhat prevent the enemy team from gaining points and take points off of them, so it's good to aim for as many of those two as you can. For that reason, healers are really valuable. Attack characters are also a good choice as the aim is to get vanquishes to win and Attack characters are well suited for that role. But any class should do, the general aim is to try and help your team as much as you can, from healing, reviving, vanquishing and so on, and hopefully it should not be long before you get your hands on that win.

2. Vanquish an Enemy while Invincible. This means that you are required to get a single vanquish using by picking up the Crystal Dog and using its invincibility power (Wizard Zee-lixir may work as well, but I wouldn't know). This should not be particularly hard, as you deal double damage while you are invincible with the Dog and have an increased movement speed (needs confirmation). You also gain complete invulnerability for about 10-15 seconds, this along with your buffs mean you should not have much trouble getting a vanquish. The tricky part is where the Crystal Dog is going to appear, and picking it up first.

There are three specific locations in each map where the Crystal Dog can appear, from all my observing, one of the locations being directly in the middle of the map, and the other two being relatively close to the middle. The location where it will appear is randomly selected between one of these three locations. Try to remember where these locations and hang around one of them. A message will appear, along with an icon, when it is about to appear. Make haste when it appears and pick it up to get its buffs. The good thing is that enemies may be trying to compete with you and your team to collect the Crystal Dog so you may find a lot of enemies nearby. Focusing on trying to take out characters with low health may be worthwhile due to your increased damage and they will be vanquished with ease, or high health as they tend to have a lower speed and are easier targets to hit. Being a character with high mobility while doing this challenge can also help due to being able to chase and track enemies down.

3. Vanquish 3 Enemies while Invincible in a Single Spawn. This challenge is relatively difficult, but not particularly time-consuming unless you have trouble obtaining it. This challenge requires you to obtain 3 enemy vanquishes using the Crystal Dog's invincibility power in a row, without being vanquished. You do not have to complete this challenge with one use of the Crystal Dog, you can do it as many times as you want. You must complete this in the same match. Lastly, if you are vanquished, and you get revived, you keep all progress you have currently made towards this challenge, so it may be worth waiting for a revive. I can confirm this. Being a character with high survivability, such as health, access to invincibility, high mobility, that sort of stuff, is recommended by me because you are less likely to get vanquished during this challenge.

If you pick up the Crystal Dog, and then you get a few vanquishes and your buff expires, it may be worth keeping out of sight of enemies as you can keep your challenge streak this way. However, you will want to stay close to where the Crystal Dog spawns so you can quickly pick it up and gain the buff before anyone has a chance to stop you. Whenever you pick it up, do your best to hunt and vanquish as many enemies as possible. Then, after the buff expires, try and keep hidden from enemies. Then, when you pick it up again, rinse and repeat. You should be able to complete this challenge with about 1-3 uses of the Crystal Dog, if you are not vanquished or get revived. 

Remember, you get a double damage and increased movement speed buff while you have the Crystal Dog's buff, so be sure to make the most of it!

Terrible 3rd challenge though... It's the same as weekly event: turf takeover. Imagine 20 players ganging up to open the chest or in this case, get the power-up. Wake up devs.

@Provin915  Couldn't agree more … I'd rather it be time-consuming, rather than being really difficult to obtain this challenge. Having to compete for it? Really! The developers have changed most of the weekly challenges in most of the weekly events, but they haven't done Boss Turf Takeover or Power Team Vanquish yet!

I'm going to skip this one again I think. I'm far more excited for the new prize map popping up on Friday than events like this. We've seen far better challenges than the last 2 weeks have had. 

I like it when the team brings new twists to regular modes, but this one isn't particularly interesting and the challenges are just not inviting. Let's hope we see less onerous challenges in the future. We've seen significant improvements not all that long ago for these challenges, let's see more of these!

@asabaidaI remember the challenges for this being a nightmare. I think we have had this mode twice now and peashooter with the chili bean bomb & ridiculous luck was required to complete the third challenge. I'm actually felt a great feeling of relaxation pass over me when I realized I not making myself do this anymore lol

My least favorite daily event and I already don't like 8v8, especially on Team Vanquish / Vanquish Confirmed. Imbalanced teams and classes, matches go on too long, random spawn locations, and most of the time teams are always grouped together making it less fun. Team Vanquish / Vanquish Confirmed are outdated gamemodes.

The formula may work for Call of Duty or something like that, but I don't think it fits in a class based shooter where there are different characters with different stats and abilities. 

I would be happy if Team Vanquish / Vanquish Confirmed somehow had fixed spawn locations for each team, or at least 12 v 12. 8 v 8 feels too small and doesn't fit in a gamemode where the objective is to just get kills.

I also don't like the difficulty of these challenges of the daily event because it means I have to spend more time in this awful mode. Doesn't help the 3rd challenge very much when there aren't as many players around. I might just skip it.

Because the second and third challenges force you to compete with your own team on top of having to fight the opponent team for the same limited resource I'll only put enough time into this to get the first challenge completed- I'm no longer in the mood to tackle the repeated frustration of having to compete with every other player, friend or foe, for the same limited resource let alone the luck needed to not be able to catch three opponents close enough together in the super short time given to you but also vanquish them all.

Well one spawn... that's slightly better then ... but it still sux.

Mmme hiding.... I have this vision now of lots of folk "hiding" close to the dog spawn.... and then everybody leaping out of hiding at the same time battling for the dog first 😃
Some folk seem much better/quicker somehow at activating the circle whatnot.... seems to fill up much quicker for some folk... while mine takes ages (so it seems) hahahaha 😃

Well, it is get 3 vanquishes while invincible in a Single Spawn after all, not a single use of the crystal dog after all! That makes it that bit easier! 🙂

@Shadowphinx101  You get your rewards for your Ranked Battle Arena pre-season rank at the end of this month, which is later this week, I believe. That is also when the first official season of Battle Arena will begin. So it won't be long until you get your rewards. 🙂
