First of all you couldn't be farther from the truth on mirror nut. It has been nerfed already, which was wrong in my opinion. Once triggered in the past it used to keep doing damage regardless of the block meter being triggered which I believe it still should. In my opinion you're playing with the wrong cards in your deck. A few things, Wall Knight is one of the heros you won't run into as much as you progress because, before the change at least, he was easier to win with at lower levels and tougher to win with at higher levels. I know from experience as a primary plant player that rolled Wall Knight into the 30's but got regularly beat after that. Why is that? Mostly experience. I think you gave a great example. "The chickening". If you play that against a board of nuts with mirror nut on the board, you get what you deserve. I used to laugh so hard when I had a board set up with one or even better multiple mirror nuts, playing against one of the four zombie heros I know can have that card and they save four brains for tricks. In my humble opinion if you want to get good at the game you need to think like this. You could see it coming from a mile away and before the nerf I'd wipe them out in a turn but guess what? I'm betting they never did that again. People that are experienced know that when you see wall knight save weed spray, rolling stone, locust swarm, numerous deadly cards with strike trough even, backyard bounce just to name a few and that's pre change. There's a ton more now. I'd put money on you being somewhere below 30 rank which is not a diss, you're just learning what to look out for and how to deal with it. It's hard to win with a wall knight mirror nut deck post 35 pre galactic change. Trust me. It takes a while to get the board set up as wall knight. If you let the game get to rounds eight and above against him, in my experience you will lose more than you win so take that experience and attack hard early.
One suggestion I have is run with decks yourself that you struggle to beat. You'll see how other players combat strategies you struggle with which only makes you a better player in the long run.
As to the new cards, strategies and defenses against cards like dragonfruit. It's way to early to be calling for nerfs in my opinion. We for the most part are all just learning what works and what doesn't and they will nerf cards if proven OP. In the meantime if you can, use the same cards that beat you to stomp others until someone decides to change it. That's my suggestion.
