PvZ GW2 XP Reset
As of logging into the game this morning, I noticed that most of my the XP on my characters has been reset to 0 even all of the characters that I've promoted. Like my Imp that was ready to promote got reset to 0. My rank plate was even brought all the way down to 18. All of this happened after I played the townhall event last night.
Even though i haven't yet played the Town Hall of event, as of logging in right now i got demoted to 0 rank plate 91 level. To add, same as the person which i am replying to i have a problem where most of my characters are now level 0, some of them are as they should be.
This morning, I tried logging back into PvZ: GW2. I got into the backyard just fine, but most of my characters' levels were set to 0 along with my overall level being set back to the 70's. I can only assume that someone used the XP Ban Glitch on me when I didn't notice or when I was offline. Is there a way to make an appeal or have this remedied? I spent a lot of hours on this game and it sucks that this happened to me suddenly. Thanks.
This is happening to everyone on PC right now, it's something on Popcap's end, they are trying to fix the glitch but may have accidentally caused everyone's levels to break.

So this type of issue is related to one of two things.
From what you all described, it would be option 2. I am keeping an eye on it, and as soon as I get an update from the team, I will let everyone know what's up.

Can confirm this, happened to all my friends upon logging in, seems to get worse the more times they log in as well. Reportedly hearing that max rank players (5455) are reset to somewhere around 2600-2800 and that the longer they play the lower it gets, eventually reaching rank 1.

@EA_Shepard I believe this issue is currently happening to literally everyone on GW2 PC (EA App/Steam). It becomes noticeable as soon as you open the game. Perhaps the unbanning script was accidentally pushed out to everyone on every character causing people to constantly get negative rank ups. I haven't opened the game myself to try avoid getting caught up in this but here is a screenshot of another player getting Level -43 upon leveling up a character (after he was already dropped to rank 1 by this issue).

Platform ID: not quite sure what this means? If you mean account ID's, I can give you various who have had their ranks screwed up. Those being "ID_M_AB_EN_SONIC" "PvZABFan" "Agent-Spect-hare" "HeyThere1mJay" "int64_t"
Date/Time issue occured: It began happening some time this morning, seemingly some backend related change, likely in an effort to fix the ban issue.
Which part of the mode?: All modes are effected, simply logging onto the game has a very good chance of bringing your rank to 1.
Summarize your bug: Anyone who logs onto GW2 as of 2/7/24 has had their ranks randomly reset to fractions of what they were, many are being dropped to rank 1, but some others are having it cut in half, being cut in half again and again the longer they play.
How often does the bug occur?: As soon as you launch the game.
Any Specific errors: Not quite sure what this means? If you mean what the bug itself is I've already explained it.
I dont know how it happened but i thing is just the code being old but the lv of the toxic soldier is broken
it is 0 on visual but when i lv up the number goes into a negative in reverse that normal
normal lv (1 to 10)
in the bug (0 visualty but internaty goes to -10 to -1)
and i cant find a fix anywhere in the internet
i just find a nother person having the same person but not soluction or fix in that
I think most people have this problem too because most people are now zero rank in the matches I have played
Im playing PC, happend to me yesterday when i just oppened the game first thing that i saw was rank reset and lvl reset . That s all
i think mine happend when i tried to join my friend and it kept failing
Community Manager@JosephPopper1 I am aware. I've been speaking with people on this for a bit now. It is still info they want from players regardless. Saying things like "me too" and "same here" deflects us from gathering necessary information as not all players may be having the exact same issue. It's a standard thing that game devs need to look at. One being affected might be due to a completely different reason even when saying it is happening to them as well.
same here. If i had to make a guess I believe the recent gnome trials might have something to do with the resetting rank. Either way i just hope that once this is fixed they give us back the levels and ranks we lost
I do want to clear this up, this is happening to EVERY SINGLE PLAYER ON PC. There are NO EXCEPTIONS. Entering MP has every single player being an absurdly low rank, and if they're not low rank within a couple rounds they're all the way at rank 1. This effects everyone, no exceptions whatsoever. The reason everyone is saying "me too" and "same here" is because it literally effects every single player.
I have recently been playing PVZ GW2. I have noticed that suddenly my rank has decreased and moreover most of my characters are bugged (they are stuck on Level 0 and when I level up, they do not or level up from level -9 to -8, etc).
Even the community centre time has not updated - only marking at 10 days.

I use to play plants vs zombies garden warfare (the original one) on my Xbox 360 years ago, just got back into gaming on my series x and all of my progress is lost, I can still see the achievements on my Xbox but when I get into PVZ it says I am rank 1 and have no characters unlocked. Any ideas? Thank you!
