I have the same problem, but I have only encountered ONE other player, and only once.
This all happens regardless of my game mode - gardens and graveyards has me waiting for players to no avail.
Bought the game yesterday (for the multiplayer function - so this is very disappointing) and have been trying for hours and still, there are no players.
Looked into changing my country and how to find other servers but haven't really had any solutions.
Is there any way to join another server where there are more people playing?
