Re: Why Are My Bean Bombs Not Killing People?

Yeah I noticed plenty of my beans flying clean away from where I spit them, which means they're even less effective now. And again, going back to GW1 the All-Star has 200 points and would die from a bean, but no one felt that was unfair, especially since he had a chance to one hit tackle and kill a pea, and sprint to get away. There was a balance. But now we have super brainz, who takes almost no damage from a bean, can knock the bean away, and trap you in his spin attack and pummel you to death and there isn't a damn thing you can do about it, and this is balanced?!?! Yeah right!

Haven't used the Zen Cactus post patch, but if you run against a bunch of Super Brainz and Allstar scrubs, use it. I enjoyed wrecking those noobs with it.

That simply untrue, all-star could actually tank a chili bean bomb In GW1 as it do 175 damage in here too. You might be thinking sombrero beam bomb, which actually can Kill a all-star a one hit,but it very preditable

Peashooter can easily escape his spin attack with hyper.

"I'm comparing this to the kick and forget attack of the Allstar. The imp has the power to literally get a plant stuck in it's path where the chili bean can be kicked around by the zombies."

All-star imp punt is actually different in the way that he have a even smaller radius when chili bean bomb and do less damage (150 damage max), in top a being pretty unreliable at time. (As a all-star main, I still manage to miss my imp punt fairly often even if I throw them in the "right" range. And it happened even more often for me in GW2 as for late)

Imp punt also seemed to have lost his power to get a plant suck in him as I saw, didn't managed to do that trick in GW2 yet and I didn't happened to me neither.

Nope, you'll still get stunned even when avoiding the attack using hyper. I know, I've had it happen to me multiple times.

Haven't used the All-Star since I've been too busy hunting Roses with the scientist. Far from being a trick, it had to do with the speed and short fuse the kick and forget attack had. It literally chased plants and realized it took little skill to use after using it for a few months. Just kick it at the general direction of the enemy and you'll for sure get a few kills and everything else that's alive can be killed with the charge attack. 150 in GW1 was enough to kill 95% of all plant variants. GW2, luckily, Cintron and now buffed Kernel Corn can stay in the fight, you can still kill a lot of other plants with one of them.

You just get slowed, you can still hyper-jump away from him. Sure you still take damage but you can get away from him that way, remember that walking backward slow you down too. So that might be why you couldn't manage to get out while using hyper.

Imp punt never chased plant. You might be thinking of the trick that was back in GW1 that allowed you to "glue" the imp at the enemy if you throw him right in his face. Like I said earlier,I didn't managed to reproduce that trick in GW2 as for now. Also afaik Corn can still die from a max damage imp punt considering he have the exact same health as imp punt damage now (150). And again, imp punt got nerfed in the same way as chili bean bomb, he got a smaller radius and is rather unreliable to use despite having a smaller fuse.

That simply is true. Pea is one of my 2 best and most played characters, I know what the beans can do, and they can and do kill All-stars in one hit, even if they just spawned. And I've been hyper as a pea and caught in the Brainz spin attack and you are trapped. His whirlwind acts as a vortex in that it actually pulls you into it, like a tornado, so you are trapped in it. If you are caught in it, it's over, if you can get away before you are caught in it, you have something of a chance if you can move fast enough, but even then he's caught up to me and pulled me into it and I've died. Why do you think people playing as Brainz ALWAYS use spin attacks instead of fists and kicks up close? Because they know the spin attacks are essentially a one hit kill....well technically a 1000 and 1 hit kill.

Slowed down to the point that it's basically stunned because you can hardly move. Throw in, if you successfully used your hyper and still got "slowed down" by the time you're able to regain momentum either A) you're dead or B) really low on health and hyper is long gone.

Mine did, I saw it literally curve to the direction of the plants back in GW1. I was even shocked that it did it not once but various times and thus I gave it the nick-name of "kick and forget." Once again, not a trick, you kick it, the enemy is facing it and it is shot back due to the velocity of the object it's being shot at with. May be they finally gave it the appropriate values. I'll have to give it a try some time today and see if it's actually patched or the same old kick and forget attack.
