Try disabling the Origin in game overlay in the Origin settings. This allowed me to play the game for the first time after 2 months of EA support being unable to give me a solution.

DUDE, THANK YOU SO MUCH! Sorry for the caps, If they couldn't come up with a solution they could have just told me instead of making me hope for a reply. You're solution worked magic. Again, thank you sir. Scratch that, it worked for a little, but it's better than nothing. Now I'm getting a failed to retrieve your saved data error. Seriously? The one game that I love the shtz out of and I can't play it whenever I want? Are you god dang serious?
I still get kicked off the EA servers once in a while, but that is only once a day. I don't know about not retreiving saved data errors. I've never seen that one.
