All I could think of, is it a hack? Or the developers showing off the soon to be available Unicorn Stuffy hat for Switch players? Everyone needs to see this! Photos included.

If I am not mistaken, you got this by importing your characters a while back. I remember getting it but from what I see you had to do it through the import. Like a special item given once you started the next version of te game but that was a while ago.
I'm so glad to see this thread, I'm a Plants Vs Zombies Battle For Neighbourville player on Nintendo Switch too, like y'all, my favourite character is Chomper lol, she's the best! I want the Unicorn Stuffy hat too for my Chomper, I have so many friends on switch too, we want this hat so bad! @EA_Shepard

The "PLACEHOLDERVVVVVV" statement is an unobtainable, placeholder item. Which is to say it was something that was modded into the game.
Was it PopCap Vancouver who developed Battle For Neighbourville on to Nintendo Switch? Even if that studio is closed, they just move development to another studio? I'm seeing a massive number of people begging for Garden Warfare 3, all I want and everyone in this thread wants, is the UNICORN STUFFY HAT for Nintendo Switch version and players of Battle For Neighbourville lol.
Oh ok, I see, I've never seen anything modded on to a Switch game before, then I captured 2 things in one gameplay session. I just want the Unicorn Stuffy hat for my Chomper and same with everyone in this topic.

Plants Vs Zombies is the best game on Nintendo Switch, it is absolutely fantastic!!!! I play every day, myself and with friends! I just want the Unicorn Stuffy hat we'll be so happy!

Awww that's sad, all the game are brilliant, but I still believe they are fixing things, bugs that appear in the game are fixed, I'm sure I'm not the only one who has noticed, even if PopCap Vancouver has closed, another EA studio is working on things, the huge amount of people playing and have played for thousands of hours, demand attention.
That's a shame, Plants Vs Zombies is easily one of Nintendo Switch best games, PopCap did an amazing job, it's still very popular! They really should give us the Unicorn Stuffy hat, people will come back.
That player that has the Unicorn Stuffy hat, if he/she modded the hat into the game on Nintendo Switch, is that a banable offence? Do you want to see a pic of what the Chomper looked like? Coz I've got screenshots of it, it wasn't normal, you can clearly see the hat but something weird happened to Chomper's face.
Everyone here wants to stop bugging EA for the hat, it's just one item, we want it so bad lol
@EA_Shepard this is what the player who has the Unicorn Stuffy hat looks like in game, picture included, you can see the hat is perfectly fine, but Chomper's face is not, there's that blue haze around most of her face, Chomper is my girl lol, but damn it's given me and others hope that we will get the Unicorn Stuffy hat on Nintendo Switch.

Community Manager@Aussiemozzie088 You're spot on! Everyone does indeed want this. So with that being said, I have sent this over to the team. I have asked around, put in requests, and challenged people to duals! 😂 No not really but I totally should. 🤔
They are more aware now that the community wants this and I have a few people looking into it. However, there is also an expectation that it may not happen as much as we want it to. I don't want to give the false expectation it will, but I am pushing for it because all of you rock!
If and when anything does come of this, I will 100% update you on what the outcome is.

That would be great, it isn't available on Nintendo Switch. Most Switch players aren't fussed with that, the main thing is, the Unicorn Stuffy hat, and then the bug that makes it impossible to complete character challenges once you get to 999 bulbs without being able to spend them. That bug has hit my daughter's game, but she said she'd be happy with just the Unicorn Stuffy hat.
Lol definitely challenge then to duals, I know a lot of the players would be backing you up as Captain Deadbeared and Cactus lol, you should let them know that too lol, we're lurking in the background lol.

That would definitely be sweet, could be a chance considering how many people are playing on Nintendo Switch, I've taken tons of screenshots of full or mostly full lobbies showing how many different people are playing, the game is selling really well on Switch. Unicorn Stuffy hat is what we're most looking forward to. @Spinagus
