This XP multiplier is decayed once every 24 hours. The decay deducts 5 pins from your multiplier (5 quests/0.25 multiplier) every 24 hours you did not log on to the game. For example, if you log on the 9th of April 5PM, your multiplier will drop down by 0.25 if you do not log on by the 10th of April 5PM and so on. You do not have to complete any quest to maintain your multiplier, you just have to log on and feel free to log off immediately if you wish.
