Saved Data Error After Friend Showed Me A Mod- Not Sure What To Do Here...

I've never experienced an issue quite like this, but somehow, I was a victim of circumstance and yet, here I am. 🤦

Roughly a week ago, 1 of my friends actually was showing me in-game [I believe it was mine unless I'm remembering wrong.] a mod that can enable you to get more coins. The game was Plants vs Zombies: Garden Warfare 1 for pc, by the way. Now, I should mention that I myself am not into mods; he was the one who was showing it to me. Somehow, afterward, it affected my game & ever since then, I've had it say "Error Failed to retrieve your saved data!" & each time I do a different round in the game, it won't keep the settings I want AND it will show me the tutorials and stuff even though I'm already on the highest rank & have everything unlocked! I have tried reinstalling Windows itself, but the issue is somehow still there DESPITE the fact that I don't use OneDrive! 

Quite frankly, this is a VERY irritating issue that I just want fixed. If you need me to tag the person who demonstrated the mod, I can tag them or something. Also, if I ended up forgetting anything or if you need more details or something, please feel free to ask & I'll get back with you!
