So space station...
Every match will a full space station is just unplayable, the whole team is against a full station and still lose the fight. When are they going to nerf those unbreakable shields?
Space Station definitely needs some nerfing. But the thing I personally don't understand, when comparing to Oak specifically, is why is the transformation to Space Station so quick? And once you change back to Cadet, you can immediately transform again because there's no refresh time.
Such a powerful and dangerous form should be as slow to transform as 'Acorn to Oak', and there should be a refresh. You can literally poke someone behind a corner and possibly bait them coming to come over, transform into space station and kill them with your death beam, and change back. Acorn most likely couldn't do this, since the transformation takes far longer and has a distinct audio cue.
I agree with the long standing criticisms of space station. Personally speaking, I think one of its key strengths is the fact it hovers. This makes it immune to being chomped, and difficult to shoot at close range. To shoot it you need to train your attention upwards, which makes you oblivious to the rest of your surroundings and an easy target for other zombies. I generally run when a space station is on top of me unless I know it is at low health. Dealing with the space station from a distance is much easier (shields not withstanding).
The biggest problem is see is that there is no game plan to counter it. Acorns on top of an Oak can be sniped and a Barrel Blast can hit them, ignoring all the tank properties of the Oak.
But the Space Station seems to be just there.
I could imagine an EMPeach disables and resets its shields or a Goatify turn all the Cadets into goats - but nothing of that sort is a thing. Its as if they specifically designed it to have no weakness. I get GW2 Mech flashbacks.
And from my experience i can say its also a player base issue. It would not stand a chance against 3 competent Peas mowing it down with Gatling , but people always seem to engage it alone. Which is a lost cause i can tell from experience. It may look like one unit but it is 3-4 players against 1 then. So people tend to ignore it while it controls an area.
