Party variant got nerfed because they were pretty much superior to basic at every ways for most of them. Having a variant that completely outclass a another is just a no-no in a balancing standpoint.
Exactly why Legendary variants should of only of been rare in name, not have some extra ability. Ofc they will be nerfed since they would be OP because of it.
This was just logical.
Now you have to go through such an annoying mode, which is nothing like the source material which you paid to play. It would of been much more fun to get them through Crazy mode Flag of Power or something. However it is what it is and they failed to make this mode interesting and the reward is much worse than before.
I can't wait to be done with it.
