@TheSprinter85 I do recognize many people like GW2 and that it is considered to be a great game. I found some stuff I like about it, but most things I dislike. I just can't force myself to like it. I have tried it 3 times since BfN was released and hate it just as much as when it first launched. "Hate" might be a bit too much, that only really refers to the multiplayer. I'm mostly referring to the TTK and lack of sprinting, as well as the extremely unbalanced variant system. Ops I great. it is more action focused, while BfN Ops is more relaxing.
@gametrieuk It seems like both games have quite a few toxic players, but nothing I experienced in BfN was as bad as what I witnessed by playing GW2 for just 1 hour.
I really dislike the TTK in GW2. I guess it contributed to the game being more well know, but I still hate it. Due to the lack of sprinting it takes ages to get anyehrer and once you arrive, you're vanquished in 2 seconds. It simply isn't fun. I know it sounds like I'm just bad at the game. I'm almost always in the top 3 in BfN and struggle a bit in GW2, but I already found out how to be good in GW2. I just dislike the predominant GW2 playstyles. In my experience, players perform well in GW2 if the either play hyper aggressively or snipe with non-snipers. Many said sniping was worse in BfN, because damage drop-off ins't in the game. In GW2 sniping is better than playing normally. Yes, you deal less damage, but you still deal enough damage to vanquish your opponent from a safe distance behind cover. This way, you get huge vanquish streaks.

The GW1 TT maps are sniper heaven. Cacti often got most vanquishes in these matches and it can be frustrating to attack the points if the plants have a couple good snipers. Snipers can be obnoxious in any of the games but they always felt worst in GW1 as GW2 and BfN have less wide open sniper lanes than GW1 did.

@Iron_Guard8 Thank you for joining the discussion and sharing your opinion in this much detail. I will probably add mine on some points you mentioned that I haven't covered in my previous post / replies later, as I feel like your post deserves to be discussed as much as the others 🙂. All of the detail is really impressive and I recognize it must have taken a long time to write.
I'll start with these few minor points:
- To prove people are who say the soundtrack is worse are objectively wrong play the Preserve Pastures Capture theme. (Or the scrapped Beta version of Mr. Old's Cool's boss fight)
- Balance: Nightcap feels pretty good now, check out some gameplay shared by gametrieuk or mikepal. They are extremely good at playing her, so I'd say subtract some vanquishes to get a more neutral player's performance. BfN's balancing is pretty good now, I'd say it is balanced.
- Cheaters: Yup, BfN has a great anti-cheat
- Achievemets: I guess they will not make it possible to earn them, as most team members aren't at PopCap Vancouver anymore. In my opinion, they should span some community challenge chests anyone can open and either re-run the Cats and Dinos 2-3 times a year at certain announced dates or just make it so the game grants the achievement automatically when launched

@benn1nat0r while I'd say that of the 3 games BfN's balance is the best overall and GW2's is the worst, the balance in BfN is still not where it could/should be; some upgrades feel almost mandatory (like soldier's rapid fire), and others are borderline useless. Had they had more time and money to work things out and had it met EA's requirements to keep it supported, it certainly could be better in this regard.
Nightcap isn't bad but they really hammered her down and I'd say they overdid it. I was one who saw how insane fung-fu was in early founders' but they turned the screw down on her a bit too hard, while not addressing certain upgrades, but they had this problem in GW2 as well, like when they tried to balance goatify and adjusted what many feel is the wrong aspects of it when they did so. Also because of how snipers work now, I've accidentally one-shoted more nightcaps as deadbeard than I'd ever imagine. I don't play snipers much in PvP but there's been many times when I did where I tried to snipe a plant I could see and an invisible nightcap got taken out instead!
I can't think of any PvZ music I dislike in any game. That's been consistent since the original PvZ.
