Sound Issues

After the maintenance yesterday from 6-8 PDT I reloaded the game to find a horrible noise coming from my speakers and I cant hear the game at all. Just straight static of what the game is supposed to sound like. I'm using studio monitors and an audio interface. I unplugged everything and restarted my computer to no avail. Waited until this morning and it is still like that.

All other applications sound fine, it is only PvZ. Before the update all sound was working perfectly.

Any tips? Really just want to be able to play regularly.

    Sorry to hear about this.

Have you tried checking your Audio Settings in Origin, to make sure everything is set up correctly?

Go to Origin, Application Settings, More, and Voice, and check the input/output settings.

You can also try repairing the game files in Origin, and clearing Origin Cache: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

Let us know if this works for you.

    Thanks 🙂

Thanks for your reply! It caused me to try and check my settings and see that Origin was not working at all. I reinstalled it and took my audio interface out of the input option for the mic. I also disabled the audio interface as a mic in settings as I am not using it as a mic at the moment, just for sound. I did not have Origin set to auto-update so that could have also been the problem.

I also do a clean uninstall and install of PvZ for good measure. It is now working as intended! Thanks
